ABOUT
Rod Scott was first introduced to the racing industry when attending the 1983 Golden Slipper won by the Vain colt
Sir Dapper as a 15 year old. The following year he witnessed the William Inglis and Son’s Easter Yearling Sale at Newmarket and shortly after some “gentle persuasion “ his father took a small interest in two yearlings and from that point he was hooked!
In the almost 30 years since, Rod Scott has left an established career to concentrate on the thoroughbred industry.
Having his own thoroughbred farm on the Mid North Coast for the last 7 years, it now the time to concentrate on the bloodstock market place, breeding and purchasing yearlings for clients and the RM Racing Group.
It has been a dream come true and a lot of hard work and experience to get where he is now. Rod has launched RM Racing Group to share his knowledge with the clear intention - purchasing the right horse to ensure success for his clientele.
As of 1st of January 2021, in just two short years, the horses selected directly by RM Racing Group have won a total of
27 races, and over $1,000,000 in prizemoney.
All 8 of these were bought in 2018 as yearlings (currently 4yo’s) and 4 were homebreds.
They have won at many levels- In the Metropolitan, Provincial and Country areas, including feature Carnival days,
such as Cox Plate Carnival and Melbourne Cup Spring Carnival. Three horses have competed in stakes races and one has won at stakes level. And we have won multiple Country Cups.
We eagerly await our crop of 3yo’s and 2yo’s that are yet to hit the track.
